Matt Smith graduated from Fairmont State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology. He began his career as an engineer for a small environmental permitting firm in Morgantown, West Virginia. From there he transitioned into a highway design role for the state of West Virginia and then to a local distribution client when he moved to Pennsylvania.
Matt joined Keystone’s Wexford division in its early days of growth as an engineer in October 2016 where the focus was design of distribution gas mainlines. The division has since grown into a turnkey design, procurement, project management and close-out team of distribution mainline, regulating and metering station, large diameter distribution and transmission pipeline engineers. He currently leads the Wexford division as Director of Engineering and has brought on numerous business development opportunities and key employees dedicated to their work.
In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife Emily and two children and is an avid golfer.
