Charles “Chuck” graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He began his career as a project manager for an electric utility in Greensburg, PA. His civil engineering experience includes geotechnical and heavy civil construction: primarily river work, power plants, Coal Combustion Product landfills, and beneficial use of Coal Combustion Products. He managed engineering and construction of capital projects involving all engineering and construction disciplines, with an individual project value up to $50 million.
Before joining Keystone Surveying and Mapping, Inc., Chuck served as a senior project manager with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) on projects related to air, water, and other power plant emissions. He was the Project Controls Manager for preliminary design of a DOE project to capture carbon dioxide (CO2) from an existing power plant, convert the CO2 to a supercritical fluid, and transport the supercritical fluid via a 30-mile pipeline to a proposed geologic storage reservoir at a depth of 8,000 feet below ground level. This project was estimated at $1.65 billion.
Chuck’s hobbies include walking outdoors, and the operation and maintenance of antique construction equipment. He is married to Rhonda, his wife; and has two grown children.
