Matt Kempinski was born in Kingston, Pennsylvania and was a member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard from 2007-2013. He was honorably discharged at the age of 22 and achieved the rank of sergeant. He graduated from Penn-State Wilkes-Barre with a Bachelors of Surveying and Minor in Business Management in 2013. He moved to New Castle, PA after graduation where he began his time at Keystone Surveying and Mapping.
He started at Keystone as an instrument man and passed his SIT in 2016 after being promoted to Crew Chief. In 2018 he moved to Columbiana Ohio and married his wife, Christa. In 2019 he was promoted to role of Field Supervisor and was tasked with overseeing Keystone’s field crews involved with the natural gas energy sector. In 2020 he passed his PS national exam and prepared to sit for his Ohio PS license. Matt passed his OHPS exam in May 2021 and became a licensed surveyor in the state of Ohio.
In July 2021 Matt was promoted to the role of Project Manager and started taking on responsibilities to expand his career into Keystone’s land development sector. In January 2022 Matt passed his PLS exam and became a licensed surveyor in the state of Pennsylvania.
Outside of work Matt enjoys playing baseball, golfing and fishing. He has two beautiful children Clayton and Aubrey.
